Shipping — Orders Within the USA

Most orders will ship within one business day. The cutoff time for shipping is 1 PM Eastern USA, Monday to Friday. Check our Contact Us page for our business schedule.

Shipping Carrier Options

US Post Office or USPS when shipping within the USA.

• USPS Ground Advantage — Our least expensive shipping method. Normal delivery time is 3 to 12 business days (most packages arrive within 3 to 5 business days). Includes insurance to your front door; no tracking and no signature on delivery. If you require signature and tracking, please use UPS Ground.
• UPS Ground — Detailed tracking. Normal delivery time is 3 to 5 business days. Includes excellent insurance coverage for damaged items. For this reason, we use this method (when possible) on all hull and RTR boat orders, even if you select USPS Priority Mail — the US Post Office claims process for damaged items is complicated and drawn out, and UPS Ground avoids that delay.
• UPS Next Day or Second Day — The fastest and most secure shipping, with detailed tracking. Normal delivery time is 1 to 2 days from ship time (please keep in mind it takes us 1 day to process, package, and label orders). Includes excellent insurance coverage for damaged items. This method does NOT include Saturday delivery.

Shipping — Orders Outside the USA

• USPS Ground Advantage Or Global Post — Our least expensive international method. Normal delivery time is 5 to 30 business days. No tracking and no insurance are included.
• FedEx Connect — 3 to 10 business days with tracking and insurance.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are based on the total package weight and size. We add a $4.00 handling charge to each order. Boats, hulls, and other large items may require an additional handling cost based on package size. We do our best to have the website estimate the correct shipping cost, but this is sometimes difficult due to the irregular sizes of boat hulls. If this was the case, we would first contact you to make sure you agree to any new costs.

We reserve the right to change the shipping method to best fit the shipping costs paid.

Defective or Warranted Item Returns

Defective or warranted items must be returned prepaid at your cost — the shipping costs of items being returned to Offshore Electrics must be paid by the customer. Upon inspection, we will repair or exchange the item and pay for the return shipping cost of the item back to you.

Methods of Payment

• We accept Venmo, PayPal, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Our secure shopping cart will only send us the billing and shipping address.
• Offshore Electrics Inc. stores no credit card information. We use PayPal and Authorize dot Net as processors, so you have the strength of these two large companies protecting your private information.

Policies and Procedures — Returns

Offshore Electrics Inc. has set the following guidelines for returns.

• All items can be returned for a refund if unused and in resalable condition with all instructions, within 30 days from purchase. Customers must pay for return shipping and a 10% restocking fee. Returned merchandise must be in new and unused condition and in its original packaging.
• Mounting and running fuel through a model engine, installing radio parts in a model, cutting up balsa sheets in kits, installing software, or discarding the packing material are examples of what constitutes used merchandise.
• We do not accept returns via COD or billed to Offshore Electrics Inc. in any way. No refunds after 30 days.
• All outside shipping boxes should be inspected before signing the UPS/USPS delivery sheet for damage. Any items damaged in shipping must be brought to the attention of the shipping company, and the claim should be made with them.
• Any other problems with items can be straightened out through email tech support.
• All sales are final once the item is used in any way. All warranties are covered by the manufacturers. Please contact us as a go-between if there is a problem contacting the manufacturer.
• Any custom-made items, custom orders, or custom parts are not returnable at all.
• Any shipping costs on defective or warranted items must be prepaid at your cost — this includes shipping the item to us and shipping the replacement back to you.
• Please contact us to obtain a return authorization number before shipping the item to us.

Canceled Orders

If an order has not been packaged or shipped and needs to be canceled, the credit card or PayPal transaction fees are not refunded. This can be up to 5%, to cover our costs associated with the credit card transactions.

Limits of Responsibility

Offshore Electrics Inc. accepts no responsibility for crash damage and/or loss of kits, engines, accessories, etc. incurred during the operation of a radio-controlled model. In most cases, it is very difficult or impossible to determine whether crash damage was actually due to radio equipment failure or operator error. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any purchased components that are incorporated into radio systems or problems caused by incompatibility between radio components or parts.

Offshore Electrics Inc. contains hyperlinks to other websites operated by parties other than us. We do not control their websites and are not responsible for their content. Surf with caution, and report problems to us.

Privacy Statement

Offshore Electrics Inc. does not sell or share any of its customers' personal information with any other company or marketing agency. We can't be held liable if a hacker or thief steals any info. We have chosen PayPal as a secure shopping cart.

We may choose to market our products, sale items, newsletters, and upcoming releases to prior customers and visitors to our site. If you decide in the future not to participate in this, we will also provide a link to remove yourself from this list. We reserve the right to use your personal information to resolve both credit card disputes and Offshore Electrics Swap Shop Forum disputes. We reserve the right to forward personal information to authorities or disgruntled parties in these cases.

Price and/or Description Changes

All prices, pictures, and descriptions on this site and all other Offshore Electrics Inc. publications are subject to change. Offshore Electrics Inc. maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors. In the event of typographical errors on our site or in our publications, Offshore Electrics Inc. reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole discretion. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies.
